Fun Freetime: Western Elite Christmas Express Celebration (Las Vegas 12/6, 12/7, 12/12-12/14)

Western Elite, Southern Nevada’s leader in construction waste and recycling, will host its 10th annual Christmas Express celebration event kicking off on Friday, Dec. 6 from 4:45 to 9 p.m., with additional event dates on Saturday, Dec. 7, Thursday, Dec. 12, Friday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 14.

Located at Western Elite’s Lincoln County Ranch 60 miles outside of Las Vegas, Christmas Express is a free, family and fun-filled holiday extravaganza featuring train rides in a classic train car, hay and carriage rides, lights galore, farm animals including camels, horses and pigs, festive food and drink, appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, a live nativity scene and much more.

“We tend to take our Christmas Express event seriously because it’s our chance to say thank you to the community for their continuous support of our recycling efforts,” said Senior Vice President Scott Seastrand. “Over the span of two months, it takes more than 120 volunteers to prepare and run the event, hanging Christmas lights and decorating, and about one month after to take it all down. We’re honored to be able to bring some Christmas joy into the lives of the more than 10,000 people who attend each year.”
