Book Nook: Medusa Quest

Award-winning children's and middle-grade author, literacy advocate, and founder of the nonprofit Rise Up Foundation, Alane Adams (aka @alaneadamsbooksis back again with another adventure-filled release with The Medusa Quest, book 2 in her Legends of Olympus series!

I had a chance to review this book, which follows Phoebe Katz on a new mission to save Olympus. Along with her friends, she discovers that the stories in the books have actually changed based on what they did. Now she has to go back and fix the history she changed, but before the demi-god children are destroyed.

It's a fun book, especially for middle elementary kids who like adventure or mythology. It's a good book for reluctant readers, with fast-paced action and an intriguing plot, but it won't bore kids who are voracious readers either.

Along with her new much-anticipated release, Alane has created several free, interactive assets for teachers in their virtual and in-person classes that she would be open to discuss, including:

  • A read-along with Alane and workbook exercises
  • Virtual classroom visits
  • A creative Book Club Kit
  • Reading quizzes and more
